  • What are Magento Modes & how to Switch between Modes?

    Magento Modes
There are 3 Modes in Magento.
    • Default Mode
    • Developer Mode
    • Production Mode
    Default Mode
It is the default mode on launching a new Magento Site. It operates when no other mode is specified. This is not an ideal mode for development because in this mode debugging is difficult.

    Developer Mode
This is the ideal mode for development. All setting suits the development work. Finding bugs and fixing them is pretty easy in this mode because all the errors are shown o the web page. Developer Mode is the slowest mode compared to Default and Production Mode.

    Production Mode
This is the ideal mode if you are making your site Live. This is the most secure mode. Finding and fixing bugs in this mode is difficult because no error message is sent to the web browser.

How to Change Modes in Magento?
Before change mode you need to connect to your Magento root directory by applying the following command.
    bin / magento deploy : mode : set {mode}

    Enable Developer Mode

    Code:
bin / magento deploy : mode : set developer
    Enable Production Mode

    Code:
bin / magento deploy : mode : set production
    Enable Default Mode

    Code:
bin / magento deploy : mode : set default
